Project profile.

Brief:

This project required steel sheet piling design verification – steel sheet piles were driven 6m deep for a retention and excavation project on the river bank. The project was subject to variable water levels, including flooding.

challenges & successes:

One of the challenges faced was creating a three-sided cofferdam with variable levels in the riverbank which lead to an imbalance. Despite this, the design verification resulted in positive outcomes in respect to the resilience, safety and construction of the sheet pile.
